Resonac Powdered Metals Singapore Pte. Ltd. (formerly) Showa Denko Materials Powdered Metals (Singapore) Pte. Ltd.) is a manufacturer of precision sintered metal components with more than 30 years experience in this field. Sintered metal components are often suitable substitutes for machining, forging, and die-casting metal parts as they can provide economies of scale with large production runs easily achievable through its efficient process. It is superior compared to the other metal working methods as raw material wastage is minimized, high productivity can be achieved, near net shape parts with tight tolerances can be achieved, and a wide range of material is available. All this leads to a lower cost part compared to the other metal working methods mentioned above.
A significant advantage of powder metallurgy is the ability to incorporate pores within the metal part, into which oil can be impregnated. This oil impregnated sintered part, or known as sintered/oilless bearing, can be a functional substitute for ball bearings with substantial savings.
With R&D facilities, RPMS is well equipped to provide solutions to customer, assisting them in the design and troubleshooting of sintered components. A team of professional staff and up-to-date equipment complementing this facility ensures that customer needs are met. |
